Teresa offers new workshop!

Music Theory for Theater Collaborators

Are you a lyricist, director, or stage manager, etc. who works in musical theater but feels a held back or intimidated by a lack of music knowledge? Do you ever get frustrated talking to a composer or music director about a specific idea and not knowing exactly what words to use?

This six-week workshop for music-theory beginners will help you feel more confident talking about music and give you a basic understanding of the building blocks of musical theory. We will cover the essentials: notes and pitches, rhythm and time, dynamics and more. You will learn how to read music, to talk about music, and to experience music in a new way.
