Toy Box is a twenty minute musical by Teresa Lotz and Will Buck. Velveteen, a young and naive stuffed rabbit is thrown into the toy box where he meets Tank, a muscular hard-headed remote-control War-Tank and Horse, an old and grumpy skin horse figurine that is wise and much older than the others. As Velveteen tries to make sense of what has happened to him he learns about The Boy who may or may not ever come back for his toys. This loose adaptation of The Velveteen Rabbit is a bittersweet and heartwarming story of innocence, love, and what it means for a toy to become real.

Toy Box received a professional reading in May of 2012 at New York University, directed by Kent Nicholson and on Monday, December 21, 2020 was released as a radio play as part of IndieWorks Theatre Company's Bite-Sized Broadway Series. It is available for streaming here: https://bitesizedbroadway.indieworkstheatre.com as well as on most of the popular streaming platforms: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, etc. The radio play was directed by Christopher Michaels.

Bite-Sized Broadway Podcast series wins 9 awards!
